What time is worship?
We meet to worship together every Sunday, 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by Coffee Hour from 11:00 to 11:30 AM.
What should I wear to worship?
At Bethany some people wear jeans, a shirt and sneakers, while others wear business casual shirts and slacks, or dresses. Wear clothing that makes you feel comfortable.
Can I bring my children to worship?
Children are welcome to sit with their families in worship. Activity books are available to entertain little ones.
Who is welcome to attend Bethany?
Bethany is a diverse, open, and welcoming community made up of people who hail from different parts of the world, with a wide variety of identities, united by our shared focus on discerning what it means to be faithful people of God today.

Leadership
The Rev. Dr. James B. Rea, Jr.
Pastor
Pastor Rea came to Bethany Presbyterian Church in 1995. Hailing from Virginia, Pastor Rea attended Princeton Theological Seminary and served a congregation in Iowa before coming to Long Island with his young family. Pastor Rea has led the congregation through several “chapters” of church life over his 30+ years of ministry here. Earning his Doctor of Ministry from Union Theological Seminary in 2001, he is known for his conversational sermons, insightful administrative guidance and pastoral heart.

Congregational Leadership
Members of the congregation answer the call to serve three-year terms as Elders and Deacons on the Session and Board of Deacons, respectively. These boards guide the life and mission of the church as Bethany seeks to be a vibrant beacon of God’s love at work in the world today.
